For, Thane is not just another meaningless destination. He has a special connect to the city that is more than a couple of decades old. 'I used to visit Thane when I was in my 10th standard,' says the singer. He has memories attached to this city that cannot be erased despite the years that have gone. He states, 'I had relatives staying here and I used to visit my cousin.' Thane in those days was different. He quips, 'I remember Thane as this beautiful green place.'

Shaan's visits to the city have not been as frequent as was earlier but he has noticed that the city has grown. 'I came here a while back and I have seen that in the last few years the city has evolved to a bustling happening place. It is quite well-developed,' he remarks.
